About us

Dr. Samantha Morici is the Founder and Head Veterinarian at The Good Boys Club. Originally from New York, Dr. Morici completed her B.S. in Biology & Animal Science at Cornell University prior to acquiring her veterinary degree from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Following her studies, Dr. Morici completed an intensive clinical training program in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in NYC.

She is a global veterinarian to her core, with first-hand veterinary medical experience in two different languages and on six different continents. Prior to founding The Good Boys Club, Dr. Morici worked as an independent consultant, virtual care provider, and as attending specialist at the busiest emergency and referral hospital in the Netherlands.

In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Dr. Morici is a fearless industry disrupter and devout veterinary advocate, who has held leadership roles within the American Veterinary Medical Association, World Small Animal Veterinary Association, and the World Veterinary Association. She has represented the profession far and wide, including at the United Nations General Assembly. Her publications in translational cancer research have received numerous awards.

Through The Good Boys Club, Dr. Morici hopes to improve access to quality veterinary care in the Netherlands. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading at cafés, and exploring new parks with her Labrador Retriever, Luca.

#1 Good Boy and company Co-Founder. Luca is a 6-year-old Labrador Retriever born in Alabama.

As a young pup, he failed out of duck hunting school and was relinquished to an animal shelter, where he was adopted by an adoring young veterinary student. He soon moved to New York City and took on the role of pigeon terrorist, where he excelled despite his appalling professional background.

A generous lad with a big heart, Luca volunteered as an emergency blood donor whose late-night donations saved the lives of many dogs and ulcerated eyeballs. After sniffing all the butts that NYC had to offer, this southern gentleman-turned-New-York-socialite packed his tennis balls and headed to Amsterdam, where he developed a special passion for canal swimming.

When he’s not plunging after meerkoet in the canals of Amsterdam, you’ll find this good boy begging for treats behind café counters, launching at cats in ground floor windows, wrestling his girlfriend LouLou to the ground, or following his mom to the bathroom.
